Chicago native Adam Fitz will perform at the Ligonier Country Market, playing both rootsy original songs and spinning cover tunes during the 8 a.m.-noon July 27 event.

His raspy voice and storytelling have earned comparisons to John Fogerty and Rod Stewart.

Now living in Pittsburgh, his life experience as a teacher and father of two contributes to his engaging performance, according to country market representatives.

Also on Saturday, representatives of the Westmoreland County Food Bank will staff an information booth, something the Delmont nonprofit has done for several years, according to CEO Jennifer Miller.

“We do go at least once during the country market (season),” Miller says. “If people need help they can approach, and if they would like to help us they can approach.”

“Ligonier was our expansion area in 2017-18, so this is our third year attending. It’s just to get people to know who we and what we do in the community,” she adds.

As always, Market Sprouts can enjoy a fun craft with Daisy Mae and Lilly Lavender by the market’s children’s garden.
