The singer-songwriter’s latest album is “Midnights,” released Oct. 21.
Songs from the album quickly took over the entire Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making Swift the first-ever artist to do so. “Anti-Hero” claimed the No. 1 spot.
The feat gives Swift the most top 10s among women in the chart’s 64-year history, Billboard announced Tuesday, surpassing Madonna’s 38. Among all acts, only Drake has more at 59.
“Midnights” also claimed the most-streamed album in one day on both Spotify and Apple Music.
Swift said that “Eras” will be “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!).”
She last took to the road in 2018 on the pre-pandemic “Reputation” tour. Since then, in addition to “Midnights,” Swift released the albums She has released “Lover,” “Folklore” and “Evermore.”
“Midnights” is a return to Swift’s signature personal subject matter, which she veered from in her previous two outings, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams,” Swift wrote on TikTok. “The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching — hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve … we’ll meet ourselves.”
Public ticket sales for the tour will begin at 10 a.m. Nov. 18. A roll-out of tickets for Capital One cardholders starts at 10 a.m. Nov. 15. Ticket prices will be $49 to $449, with VIP packages from $199 to $899.
As with Swift’s previous tour, there will be a Ticketmaster Verified Fan ticket program with registration available at ticketmaster.com through Nov. 9.
Swift’s last tour stop in Pittsburgh was Aug. 7, 2018, at Heinz Field.
