Renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will return to the United States for a series of holiday season concerts, including a Dec. 5 date at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
Billed as “a prayer of hope,” the concerts will include Bocelli’s first career performance in St. Louis, Mo., and his annual two-night run at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Fan club and venue pre-sales begin at 10 a.m. May 6, with general ticket sale beginning at 10 a.m. May 11.
“As our main hope still remains the healing and safety of our world from this pandemic, please rest assured, if any of the December 2020 performances are postponed or canceled due to continued safety and health concerns, a period for complete refunds will be immediately available,” according to a release.
Bocelli’s Easter Sunday concert from an empty cathedral in Milan, Italy, is the biggest-ever classical livestream, with more than 28 million views from around the world in its first 24 hours.
Recipient of numerous World Music Awards, Bocelli has sold more than 90 million albums worldwide. His “Sacred Arias” is the biggest-selling classical album by a solo artist.
