The Calling answered the call.
Known for top hits including “Wherever You Will Go” and “Our Lives,” the rock band will headline the Highmark Light Up Night on Nov. 22.
The band released its latest single, “Stand Up Now,” in 2024 after a 20-year hiatus.
Vocalist Alex Band, guitarist Daniel Damico and Grammy-nominated bassist Dom Liberati will be performing at 8:30 p.m. on the Xfinity Riverside Stage at Fort Duquesne Boulevard and Sixth Street.
It will be one of several free musical happenings at the 64th annual event that kicks off the holiday season in Western Pennsylvania. There will be two stages of free live music, tree and bridge lightings, craft food vendors, shopping and fireworks.
“After all these years, we are more excited than ever to share our new sound and take our fans on this new journey with us,” the band said in an official statement. “The music has evolved, but the essence of what makes The Calling unique remains at the core.”
The Calling formed in 1999. Its debut album, “Camino Palmero,” sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and went platinum in the U.S. and in more than 50 countries.
