The Little Mermen to rock out on Disney songs at The Palace
Billed as “The Ultimate Disney Cover Band,” the Little Mermen are bringing their fun-filled rock and roll show to Greensburg’s Palace Theatre.
The New York City-based ensemble dresses in costumes to play rock-influenced versions of well-known songs from Disney’s catalogue of animated movies, from early classics like “Fantasia,” “Dumbo” and “Bambi” to modern favorites like “Frozen,” “Moana” and “Brave.”
The stage show includes projection of movie clips.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 22, with doors opening at 6 p.m.
The Little Mermen was founded by singer-songwriter-actor Alexis Babini, who has performed with artists such as Blues Traveler, Boz Scaggs, The Verve Pipe and Cody Simpson. His songs have appeared on television shows including MTV’s “Teen Mom” and “The Real World.”
A portion of proceeds from the Greensburg concert will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region.
“I had the opportunity to see The Little Mermen perform at a late night venue and loved the show,” says the organization’s Executive Director Stephanie Babich Mihleder. “I thought it would be great to bring them to a family friendly venue and make the tickets affordable for everyone from college students to grandparents.”
Tickets are $22, $35 and $50.
