Trans-Siberian Orchestra will perform two shows on Dec. 20, 2025, at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

It’s the season of light, and that will be nowhere more evident than with a pair of shows this month at PPG Paints Arena with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, while country music star Trisha Yearwood will be celebrating the holidays with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Here’s a look at those and other top shows coming to the region in December:

Top concerts

Dec. 18: Trisha Yearwood with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall

Country singer Trisha Yearwood released her latest album, “Christmastime,” on Nov. 7, and she’ll be in Pittsburgh to celebrate the album — and the season — with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

The album features a song with her husband, Garth Brooks, as well as classics and lesser-known tracks. She’ll also be hosting the NBC special “Christmas in Nashville” on Dec. 3. Yearwood and Brooks recorded an album, “Christmas Together,” in 2016.

“The coolest thing about the Christmas album to me was it’s my favorite holiday,” she told recordingacademy.com in a 2017 interview. “Garth and I have always sung on each other’s records even if we haven’t done duets but this was the first chance where we got to sing together all day long. It was a joy.”

Dec. 20: Trans-Siberian Orchestra at PPG Paints Arena (two shows)

The spectacle of Trans-Siberian Orchestra returns to Pittsburgh for its annual holiday extravaganzas.

The symphonic rock experience, which has been touring since 1999, features a new production of “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” as well as a second set of favorites, with a celebration of the 25th anniversary of their 2000 album, “Beethoven’s Last Night.”

“You can feel 15 thousand people collectively lose their minds,” vocalist Nate Amor told Orlando Magazine. “There is nothing like that energy.”
