Singer “Weird Al” Yankovic on Tuesday dashed fans’ hopes of a remake of one of his signature hits, when he tweeted “not gonna do ‘My Corona.’ ”

“My Bologna,” a parody of The Knack’s 1979 hit “My Sharona,” was Yankovic’s first hit and helped launch his career.

Users on Twitter responded with other ideas for songs, including “How about ‘Covid 19’ to the tune of ‘Come On Eileen’?” and “No, should do Everybody was Kung Flu fighting…”

Around the world the coronavirus virus, also known as covid-19, has infected more than 94,200 people and killed more than 3,200.
