The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra’s scheduled performances are on hiatus. Shown above, concert goers make their way into the Palace Theatre in Greensburg for an earlier show.

In an effort to provide music to its fans while on hiatus due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra is introducing its new WSO to Go series.

The orchestra website notes the series will “keep the music playing wherever we can.”

”We will be sharing videos from our musicians, teachers and orchestra performances on our social media channels with the tag #wso2go,” the post adds.

Musicians may submit video and content for consideration to info@westmorelandsymphony.org

The symphony recently announced postponement of its planned March 14 “Irish Rhapsody” program.

Endy Reindl, symphony executive director, says that all previously scheduled concerts and events are being evaluated for rescheduling.

All Academy of Music activities remain on hiatus.

“Please enjoy our (new series) to provide you with moments of musical escape while we hunker down at home,” Reindl says.
