The Zac Brown Band canceled its show Friday night at the Pavilion at Star Lake after singer Zac Brown said he tested positive for covid-19.
In a post shared to Twitter on Tuesday, Brown wrote that he tested positive despite taking precautions, leading to the cancellation of four shows.
“I am deeply disappointed this has happened, as touring is our life and performing live for our fans is the best part of our job,” Brown said. “The bottom line is that I want to take every precaution to put the health and safety of our fans and crew first.”

The band also cancelled shows Thursday in Clarkston, Mich., Saturday in Syracuse, N.Y. and Sunday in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Ticket refunds will be issued at the point of purchase. The tour is set to resume Oct. 8 in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Zac Brown Band won the Grammy for Best New Artist in 2010 and Best County Album for “Uncaged” in 2013. The band’s new album, “The Comeback,” is set to release Oct. 15 with the first single, “Same Boat.”
The Pavilion at Star Lake still has a few shows left before the end of the year: NF tonight; The Jonas Brothers on Oct. 6; Lil Baby on Oct. 9; Kiss on Oct. 13 (rescheduled because of Paul Stanley’s covid diagnosis); Slipknot on Oct. 15; and Dierks Bentley on Oct. 16.
