Kids who are interested in all aspects of theater — and more — are invited to take part in free activities planned for July 8-12 at the Lamp Theatre in Irwin.
The sessions will include acting, dance and voice instruction and a daily workshop to rehearse for a showcase on the final day.
The schedule includes:
• July 8: Screening of “The Lorax” (rated PG), acting class and workshop
• July 9: Yoga class, dance class and workshop
• July 10: Live science show, voice class and workshop
• July 11: Puppet show, craft session and workshop
• July 12: Workshop and showcase.
Classes will include separate sessions for children ages 5-8 and 9-14.
Children must be registered for each separate class or program they would like to attend. Space is limited in some sessions.
A parent or guardian is required to accompany the child to the movie screening, science show and puppet show/craft activity.
To perform in the showcase, participants must take an acting, dance or voice class, but class participants are not required to perform in the showcase.
Admission will be $5 for the showcase.
