It sounds like a sweet deal.

Krispy Kreme is offering anyone who gets the covid-19 shot a free glazed doughnut for the remainder of the year.

Starting on Monday, those who can show proof of a valid vaccination card are eligible for a doughnut at stores nationwide. The offer is only valid in-person in a shop or drive-thru. It’s not available for online orders or delivery.

“We all want to get covid-19 behind us as fast as possible and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer.

Those who decide not to get the vaccine can get a free glazed doughnut and a medium coffee on Mondays from March 29 to May 24.

The only problem for Pittsburgh residents? You’ll have to make a road trip for the nearest store.

The closest Krispy Kreme is in Washington, Pa., with Erie and Akron having one-day destinations.
