Rankin wine lounge, Mary's Vine, closing at end of October
A Rankin wine lounge and restaurant will close its doors at the end of the month.
Mary’s Vine, which opened along Kenmawr Avenue in 2019, posted its farewell announcement to social media.
“We are deeply grateful for your support, your friendship and the memories we’ve created together,” the post said. “It has been an honor to serve you and share our love of wine with all of you.”
Mary’s Vine came to life in the former Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
Its wine list earned recognition with the Two-Glass Award in 2024 and 2025, along with the DiRonNA Award.
“Our mission has always been to show that wine can be both affordable and approachable, and we’ve cherished every moment of doing just that,” the post said.
A reason for the closure was not cited, but the post hinted at obstacles that include supply chain issues, rising costs and staffing shortages.
The restaurant plans to close on Oct. 31.
