Bob Evans offers couples year’s worth of free date nights

If your date nights include comfort food — think mac and cheese, biscuits and gravy, chicken pot pie — you might be familiar with the menu items at Bob Evans restaurants.

If you’d like to up your entree game, the “down on the farm” restaurant is releasing four new steak dishes, available through Dec. 31: steak omelet, steak benedict, bacon bourbon glazed sirloin, and creamy peppercorn steak.

Better yet, you could enjoy those entrees, and more, at no cost if you win the company’s “Date Night, Steak Night” giveaway package.

The promotion commemorates the anniversary of founders Bob and Jewell Evans’ first date on an Oct. 22 many decades ago. Married 67 years, their marriage is the inspiration for an “ultimate date night” to be awarded to three couples, according to a news release.

“The relationship between Bob and Jewell Evans has had such a huge impact on the way we do business, and the hospitality we strive to show our guests. Even while they were raising six children and building an iconic brand, they always found time for each other,” says Bob Holtcamp, chief marketing officer for Bob Evans Restaurants.

“As we introduce four new USDA Choice Steak entrees to our menu, we felt there was no better time to invite our guests to carve time out for loved ones – the Bob and Jewell way,” he adds.

Through Nov. 3, guests can upload a photo of themselves with a spouse, partner or loved one. They can add a 100-word testimonial on their Bob Evans-inspired love story for a chance to win a date night at their local Bob Evans with their loved one, including a menu personalized for their special night.

In addition, winning couples will receive a $600 gift card to enjoy Bob Evans date nights every month for a year.
