For the fourth consecutive time, Chick-fil-A is the top restaurant for teens, according to a new survey.
The chicken chain topped Starbucks, Chipotle, McDonald’s and Dunkin Donuts in the survey conducted by Piper Jaffray’s 39th semi-annual “Taking Stock With Teens” survey.
Chick-fil-A garnered 18% of the top votes, while Piper Jaffray noted that food “continues to be the No. 1 priority for teens in terms of wallet share.” This is in the face of 32% of teens believing the economy is getting worse.
Also in terms of food, teens named Lay’s potato chips, Goldfish crackers, Cheez-Its, Doritos and Cheetos as their favorite snacks.
Some other findings in the survey included: Nike is tops for clothing brands and footwear. While over half of the respondents picked Amazon as the top shopping website.
And online, teens flock to Instagram and Snapchat, way ahead of Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.
The survey, which gathers responses from thousands of teens with an average age of 15.8 years, monitors the spending habits and brand loyalties of today’s teens.
