Dunkin' opens another store in Oakland
The overnight snow couldn’t stop Dunkin’ from opening its second Oakland store Monday.
It’s the 64th location owned by Heartland Restaurant Group and will employ 30 people. It becomes the second location in Oakland, joining the one at Forbes Avenue on the University of Pittsburgh campus.
The new store is located at 4560 Centre Ave.
“We’re excited to bring this new location to Oakland,” said Anthony Braun, COO and CFO of Heartland Restaurant Group, a Dunkin’ franchisee. “Although the pandemic has been tough for the economy globally, Dunkin’ has been growing in the region throughout 2020, and we plan to continue that growth through 2021.”
The new location will feature a cold beverage tap system as well as front glass cases. It also has high volume coffee brewers for a quick cup of coffee.
Inside seating is available in accordance with the state’s social distancing guidelines because of covid-19.
“Oakland has already proven to be a great location for Dunkin’,” said Braun, “With universities, health care and thriving businesses, we want to keep everyone in this area running on Dunkin’.”
Customers who visit Monday can purchase any size hot or iced coffee for 99 cents. Heartland Restaurant Group will also be celebrating the launch of the new Dunkin’ location with product donations to area hospitals and first responders. Details weren’t released.
