Two months after closing, the former BrewDog Pittsburgh brewpub location is looking for a new tenant.
The East Liberty locale is seeking leases for the 4,000-square-foot restaurant space on Centre Avenue, according to a release from Howard Hanna. A price for rent was not listed.
The brewpub opened in February 2020 under BrewDog and seats 190 people. It contains two dog-friendly patios and a 24-tap bar.
The company, which solicited investment in its operations, reportedly had 150 shareholders in Pittsburgh when the Pittsburgh location opened in 2020.
BrewDog is based in Scotland and has a U.S.-based brewery in Ohio. The Pittsburgh location closed in March and was part of a global downsizing that also included some U.K. brewpubs closing.
“The decision to close a beloved bar is never easy, but we know that many others in the hospitality industry can relate to the operational impact caused by the rising costs of goods and services and current economic situation,” said a BrewDog USA spokesperson in March.
Howard Hanna describes the space as “turnkey.” It is located across from Condado Tacos’ newest location and catty-cornered from Target.
