’Tis the season to celebrate with a festive drink at one of the region’s Christmas-themed pop-up bars.

Atomic Tinsel Cocktail Club
The Industrialist Hotel, 405 Wood St., Downtown Pittsburgh
Nostalgia mixes with a winter wonderland at The Industrialist’s Atomic Tinsel Cocktail Club, featuring colored lights, Christmas trees and over-the-top tinsel.
The hotel debuted the ’90s retro-themed space pop-up in The Rebel Room last week.
Sip on handcrafted, vintage-inspired cocktails including the Nuclear Nog (Union Forge vodka, Disaronno, eggnog and nutmeg), Atomic Cider (local hot apple cider, spiced rum and orange-cardamon syrup) and Cosmo-Not mocktail (pomegranate, grapefruit, tonic, lime and rosemary syrup).
A small food menu is available.
Walk-ins only.
Glitzmas Holiday Pop-Up Bar
Omni William Penn Hotel, 530 William Penn Place, Downtown Pittsburgh
The inside of the historic Omni William Penn Hotel’s Mellon Cafe has been transformed into a winter wonderland with The Glitzmas Holiday Pop-Up Bar.
It opens Nov. 28 and features creative cocktails, shimmering lights, pastel-colored decor and Instagram-worthy photo opportunities among holiday backdrops.
Light bites and a full menu of Christmas cocktails are available, including Milk & Cookies (Grey Goose vodka, Kahlua, Bailey’s, espresso martini and chocolate syrup) and the Sugar Plum Sparkler (St. Germain, Prosecco, pomegranate and raspberry).
Wigle Wonderland
Wigle Whiskey, 2401 Smallman St., Strip District
Wigle Wonderland returns for its third year and offers an illuminated cabin-themed retreat vibe and exclusive holiday drinks such as the Polar Expresso Martini (Smallman St. vodka, cold brew, brown sugar, coffee liqueur and Mole bitters), Mistletow Mule (Smallman St. vodka, grapefruit, honey, thyme, ginger beer) and the Shotski ($25, choose three shots).
Glowing fairy lights and an array of sparkling lights invite patrons to get cozy and nostalgic and sip away like they’re in a mountaintop chalet.
Jingle Bar
Eleventh Hour Brewing Co., 3711 Charlotte St., Lawrenceville
A magical Christmas pop-up bar takes over the German Village at Eleventh Hour Brewing Co., offering varying festive fun sessions for families and the 21-and-older crowd from Dec. 4 to 23.
Jingle Bar offers non-alcoholic options along with merry cocktails, hot cider and craft beer and on-site food trucks will be available.
Tickets are required and can be purchased on Eleventh Hour’s website.
Holiday Tavern at The PA Market
108 19th St., Strip District
No reservations are needed to relax and unwind from the holiday hustle in the holiday tavern.
The tavern opens at 11 a.m. Nov. 28 and will be open on select dates through the holiday season.
Bob’s Garage
1372 Freeport Road, O’Hara
This holiday drinking destination is a must-visit for anyone seeking the ultimate in Santa-themed selfies or those just looking to soak in major amounts of holly, jolly decorations.
Bob’s is hard to miss — just look for the Christmas lights covering the entire exterior of the building along Freeport Road.
Inside is an explosion of holiday lights, Christmas decor and over-the-top holiday decorations from top to bottom.
The Aspen @ The Spritzery
960 Penn Ave., Downtown Pittsburgh
Keep warm and cozy at this ski-lodge holiday-themed bar serving cocktails and mocktails among ski-mobiles, Christmas trees, lights and a sleek fireplace.
Sit on a real ski-lift-turned seat and pretend you just left the slopes.
Sippin Santa
130 Seventh St., Downtown Pittsburgh
Surf’s up at this beach-themed Santa stop.
The cocktails include the CoCo Ho Ho Ho made with Gold Jamaican rum, lime, coconut, pineapple, pandan syrup and banana liqueur and the Tiki Tub Communal Bowl with an oversized drink for sharing with a friend, served in quirky, beachy-themed glasses.
