For the third year, the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Wine Walk, inviting visitors to check out the downtown’s offerings while sampling wine and other treats.
The event will be held from 1-5 p.m. May 9, and this year features Keystone state wineries, wine creations from local restaurants and local chocolate creators.
If you’re looking for a special event for the favorite mom in your life, Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce executive director Scott Haines has a suggestion.
“Wine tasting, chocolate and shopping in one of ‘the most charming small towns in America’ is a wonderful way to spend Mother’s Day weekend in Ligonier,” he says in a release.
Events involving strolling through the town while shopping, sipping and sampling are popular, chamber representatives say.
“Our recent ‘Soup’s On!’ ticket sale sold out in 10 minutes. If you missed out on ‘Soup’s On!’ or you are a fan of wine and chocolate, this event is for you,” says Ruthie Stewart, the chamber’s events and marketing coordinator.
Tickets go on sale March 31 and only 400 will be available.
Cost is $20 for Wine Walk participants to taste test samples from more than 20 vendors. Designated drivers can purchase a $5 ticket and still enjoy all the chocolate treats with other guests.
No tickets will sold over the phone.
