Almost 50 years ago, McDonald’s began introducing America to what would become one of its signature sandwiches — the Quarter Pounder.

Created by a franchise operator in 1971 and hitting menus nationwide in 1973, the sandwich remains a favorite with the chain’s loyalists.

Enthusiasts now have a line of Quarter Pounder merchandise to help keep visions — and scents — of their cravings close at hand, even if the “Golden Arches” are nowhere in sight.

GoldenArchesUnlimited.com is dropping new, limited-time fan club swag targeting Quarter Pounder cravers.

The merchandise includes a fan club T-shirt, a “burger-centric” 2020 calendar, mittens, a locket and, coming soon, a six-pack of candles bearing the scents of the burger’s ingredients.

That’s right. Light these colorful candles and inhale the aromas of beef, onion, cheese, ketchup, pickles and a bun, maybe setting the mood as you unwrap the contents of your dinner bag.

Fans can follow @McDonalds on Instagram to see when the items become available.
