If Cambria Zebley has her way, it’ll be a sweet time at the Miracle Mile Shopping Center.

Zebley is the franchise owner of the Monroeville branch of cookie company Crumbl, which has opened at 4158 William Penn Highway.

“I worked for Crumbl’s corporate office in Utah, and when my parents relocated to this area, I wanted to be around family members,” Zebley said. “Plus Pittsburgh sounded like a great place.”

Another Crumbl location opened in North Huntingdon in early 2022. Crumbl is the fastest-growing gourmet cookie delivery and takeout company in the United States, according to Business Wire.

“Crumbls are popping up all over the country, and the East Coast was one of the last places to franchise up,” Zebley said.

Approximately 100 employees received training in advance of the store’s opening.

“We start at 5 a.m., and after the store closes we’re typically still baking cookies until about 3 a.m.,” Zebley said. “So there are plenty of shifts available.”

And while the products rotate through what Zebley said are about 300 total flavors, the store always has its flagship chocolate chip cookies in stock.

“We almost always have a chocolate and a peanut-butter cookie available, because those are usually the most popular types,” she said. “But with summer coming, one of my favorites is the lemon poppyseed cookie that will be available soon.”

Customers can come to the store, order takeout, or have their cookies delivered via Uber Eats, Door Dash or Crumbl’s own in-house delivery service.

Crumbl co-founder Jason McGowan started the company in 2017. Today, it has nearly 270 stores nationwide.

Zebley has been with the company almost since its inception, and said she’s a big fan of the variety it offers.

“The menu changes weekly, and it keeps people coming back,” she said. “Plus we’re creating this really happy, fun experience centered around cookies.”
