There’s a new hospitality group ready to ramp up the Downtown Pittsburgh dining and entertainment scene this year — and beyond.

The news of Legacy Hospitality Group was announced on Monday.

It’s the newest business collaboration from the hospitality team of professionals behind restaurants Ritual House, Palm Palm, Shorty’s and the recently opened The Common Good in the Union Trust Building Downtown.

Legacy Hospitality Group announced Monday plans to open at least three new concepts this year and more in 2027.

The group is led by Herky and Lisa Pollock, Chef Ed and Amanda Smith, and Matthew Minichino. Legacy Hospitality Group owner Herky Pollock said Legacy is focused on establishing deeper restaurant and hospitality roots in Pittsburgh.

“It’s an exciting time for growth in our city and we’re doubling down our investment in our favorite place,” Pollock said in a news release. “We’re building a legacy of sincere values, excellent hospitality and a deep commitment to our region and our neighbors.”

Details on the new concepts were not revealed, but Pollock touted the talent factor among the partners.

“Between Chef Ed’s incredible culinary skills and unparalleled experience in the restaurant industry, Amanda’s leadership in fine dining hospitality, Matt’s impeccable reputation among major national hospitality brands and Lisa’s deep knowledge of market trends and customer experience — we can’t wait to unveil what’s next,” Pollock said on Monday.

Pollock acquired full ownership of Shorty’s in 2024, which will be owned and operated under Legacy Hospitality Group.
