Pizzeria Davide to open locations in Robinson, Carnegie
Pizzeria Davide plans a June opening in Robinson Town Centre.
It’s the sister restaurant to the Strip District-based DiAnoia’s Eatery. A third location is expected in Carnegie this fall, according to a news release.
The Robinson Town Centre pizzeria will offer take-out only, in accordance with Pennsylvania’s covid-19 guidelines. Order online at pizzeriadavide.com.
The businesses are owned by Dave Anoia, executive chef, and his wife, Aimee DiAndrea.
The concept was born from the restaurant’s signature pizzas, Anoia said. Pizzeria Davide opened in May 2019 as a take-out window and picnic area behind DiAnoia’s Eatery. That location will also remain open.
“When take-out orders took off, we knew this was something that needed its own space to grow,” Anoia said. “We take a lot of pride in the fresh, quality ingredients we put into each pie and are passionate about moving forward with our plans to bring this concept to the Robinson community, especially during a time when we can all use some comfort food.”
The original opening was set for April but was postponed because of the pandemic and time needed to implement contactless ordering options and additional safety procedures.
The pizzeria will also serve marinara, margherita and New York-style pies and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich of sirloin and ribeye, fried onions, provolone and homemade cheese sauce.
Appetizers include the “Meatball Bomb” — a pork, beef and veal blend baked in a mozzarella and pizza dough, topped with pesto and marinara sauce. Desserts include tiramisu, cannoli and Pittsburgh-based Millie’s ice cream.
Once indoor dining is allowed, the space will seat 40. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.
