Primanti Bros. teams up with 412 Food Rescue to fight food insecurity
Primanti Bros. is partnering with 412 Food Rescue to address food insecurity in Western Pennsylvania.
The collaboration will allow anyone ordering from Primanti Bros. online to request the restaurant make a monetary donation to 412 Food Rescue, a local nonprofit that fights hunger and food waste.
Customers can enter coupon code “412” at checkout to have Primanti Bros. donate $1 in their name through the end of February.
The partnership began in early December, said Primanti’s Director of Marketing Ryan Wilkinson. The chain wanted to continue it into 2021.
“We are very supportive of the great work that 412 Food Rescue does and we think that in the atmosphere today, maybe more than ever, there are people out there with food insecurities,” Wilkinson said.
There are 37 Primanti Bros. locations participating in the effort.
“The partnership with Primanti Bros. will raise much-needed funds to continue our work of ensuring good food is reaching people who need it most,” said Sara Swaney, senior director of advancement at 412 Food Rescue.
Primanti Bros. plans to work with 412 Food Rescue on new initiatives in the future, Wilkinson said.
Wilkinson also encouraged people to donate directly to 412 Food Rescue online.
