Snoop Dogg teams up with Dunkin’ on new plant-based sandwich

After helping Dunkin’ launch its Beyond Sausage Sandwich last November by working the counter of a store and surprising customers, Snoop Dogg and the doughnut company are now promoting a new twist on the sandwich.

Introduced on Monday, the Beyond D-O-Double G Sandwich features a Beyond Breakfast Sausage patty with egg and cheese, served on a sliced glazed doughnut, will only be available until Sunday.

Snoop Dogg is big on plant-based foods and loves glazed doughnuts, so he brought the two together in the new sandwich, according to the company.

Dunkin’ also announced that they will be offering customers free samples of the Beyond Sausage Sandwich on Jan. 24 and 25.

The sandwich contains no meat products, but they are not strictly vegan, as they have egg and cheese, and if you get the special sandwich, the doughnuts include dairy and egg. There is a vegan hack, though, which is to order the Beyond Breakfast Sausage patty alone on an English Muffin. (And ask it to be microwaved, as the patty is cooked on the same grill as other patties.)

According to Dunkin’, the patty is made of peas, mung beans, rice, sunflower and coconut oil.
