Stuffed Puffs recipes offer sweet finish to Super Bowl

Mary Pickels

After a plate (or two) of typical Super Bowl munchies — hot wings, pizza, chili — one may not have room for a heavy dessert.

The biggest game of the year deserves a sweet finish. And a gooey, chocolatey, peanut buttery cookie can serve as celebration or consolation, depending on the game’s outcome.

Stuffed Puffs, marshmallows filled with chocolate, are basically ⅔ of a s’more.

The company suggests this tasty usage:

Stuffed Puffs Peanut Butter Cookies

1 batch peanut butter cookie dough

1 cup sugar (for rolling)

1 bag Stuffed Puffs Filled Marshmallows

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare your favorite homemade or store-bought peanut butter cookie dough. Shape cookie dough into 1-inch balls, roll in sugar and space ½-inch apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press an indentation into each ball using your thumb or spoon. Bake cookies 12 to 15 minutes (or for the amount of time recipe recommends.) While cookies bake, cut Stuffed Puffs marshmallows in half. Remove cookies from oven and place a Stuffed Puffs marshmallow, chocolate side down, in the indentation in each cookie. Return to oven and broil for 5 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown on top and slightly melted. Remove from oven and allow to cool a few minutes before serving.
