The Man Crates Beef Jerky Tool Box features 14 types of beef jerky. We sampled six for the TribLive Taste Test.

For the man (or woman) who can’t get enough dried beef in their life, today the TribLive Taste Test team tried out Man Crates’ Jerky Tool Box.

It comes in a cardboard replica tool box and is loaded up with half-ounce and 1-ounce samples of 14 types of beef jerky. We tried out six of them in a blind taste test — habañero, whiskey maple, ghost pepper, garlic, honey bourbon and sesame ginger — and tried to guess which was which (the ghost pepper one was pretty easy to guess).

The Man Crates Jerky Tool Box is $49.99 at ManCrates.com. It’s not a ton of product for the money, but it is high-quality jerky and we liked most every flavor we tried.
