It’s the end of summer, and that means freezer pops are on sale.

So we went to the corner store and found the two weirdest kinds they had — which turned out to be two supposedly candy-flavored types: Skittles and Extreme Sour Warheads freezer pops.

TribLive Taste Test squad member Patrick Varine spent a significant portion of his childhood — and his lunch money — buying Warheads at the school store. Will the freezer pops stack up?

And while the Skittles freezer pops don’t contain any of the titanium dioxide that’s got the Mars company involved in a California lawsuit, will they taste anything like the candy?
