Wigle Whiskey Distillery plans two upcoming tasting events to celebrate “The Grand Opening” of its new distillery restaurant and expanded tasting room.

Two seatings will be offered on March 13 — at 6 and 7:30 p.m.

The new space doubles the Strip District distillery’s size at 2401 Smallman St., Pittsburgh.

Executive chef Dan Okren, an alum of Wigle’s distilling team and of Big Burrito Kitchens, will break in the new kitchen.

An event passport includes a preview of the new Wigle Whiskey Tasting Room and Restaurant. Ticket holders can enjoy two cocktails and a bourbon flight, bar snacks, a cider-glazed pulled pork sandwich or a vegetarian Reuben beet sandwich and a whiskey-infused dessert.

Visitors will taste Wigle’s take on the classic cocktail, “Mon”hattan, in the tasting room, then go back in time to the Mellon Pharmacy Bar to check out a new spring cocktail, “Bring Me a Shrubbery!”

The bourbon flight and dessert course will be served in the labeling party room.

Tickets are $35.
