5 things to do in Pittsburgh this weekend, May 14-16
The weather is going to be perfect this weekend for just about anything you want to do in and around Pittsburgh. Here are some ideas.
On the road
The David Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown, is hosting the 54th annual Pittsburgh RV Show, which opens Saturday through next weekend. In addition to the recreational vehicles there will be vendors such as golf cart dealers and campground representatives.
Vehicles range from folding camping trailers to high-end motor homes.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Tickets are $5-$12.

Cookies
Dress for Success Pittsburgh has collaborated with PPG for “The Black & Gold Cookie Table at Hartwood Acres: A Drive-thru Fundraising Event” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are priced at $100 per vehicle.
Each vehicle will receive two dozen assorted cookies. Additional boxes of cookies are $50. All cookies are nut-free.
The event benefits Dress for Success Pittsburgh, which provides medical scrubs, nonskid shoes and other items for women enrolled in training programs.
Vehicles decorated “Pittsburgh Style” receive a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card. Photos of vehicles will be posted on Dress for Success’ Facebook page. The one with the most likes will win.
Entry fee is $10.

Child’s play
This is the final weekend for the 35th annual “EQT Children’s Theater Festival @ Home” hosted by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The virtual event ends Sunday.
Performances include artists from around the world. International programs include “We Cover the Universe” from Britain on Saturday, “MacHomer” from Canada, “Aesop Bops!” from the U.S. and “University of Wonder and Imagination” from Northern Ireland.
There will also be workshops and activities.
“The University of Wonder and Imagination” is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. “MacHomer” and “Aesop Bops!” are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are $15 per electronic device.

Get crafty
The Wild Feathers will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at Crafthouse Stage & Grill in Baldwin. The band, which formed in 2010, has three studio albums and one live album, and has toured with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.
Wild Feathers are known for a blend of Southern rock, Americana roots and heartland pop. This performance is part of the group’s “Wheels Up Tour.”
The band independently released Medium Rarities in November.

Laugh out loud
The Allegheny City Brewing will present a James Phelps Comedy Night at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. It will be held in the lot across from the North Side establishment. The evening will be hosted by Phelps and feature eight comedians. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
