Rather than jockey for a parking place, those planning to attend West Overton Village’s May Mart and Makers Market can bring their bicycles and helmets and bike the Coal & Coke Trail to the East Huntingdon Township event.

Jacobs Creek Watershed Association is hosting the free 5-mile (10 miles round-trip), family event on May 11.

To encourage bikers, participants will receive a free voucher to West Overton Village and Museums, a raffle ticket for a bike giveaway and transportation of any purchases back to their vehicles, the organization says.

The ride begins at 10 a.m. at the American Architectural Salvage store, 23 W. Main St. Mt. Pleasant, and will return on the same route.
