Here are 5 things to do in Pittsburgh this weekend: Sept. 19-21
There’s no “unofficial” about it — Monday will officially see the end of the summer season with the fall equinox. Make the most of the last few days before autumn sets in with these events.

From “Saturday Night Live” to comedy classics such as “Happy Gilmore” and The Wedding Singer,” Adam Sandler has kept audiences laughing for decades. In recent years, he’s also toured with live music and comedy; his 2022 and 2023 tours were blockbusters, and he’s found great success with musical comedy specials, including 2024’s “Love You.”
The show is for those 16 and over. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at PPG Paints Arena. Tickets can be purchased at ppgpaintsarena.com.
Penn Brewery Oktoberfest
Carrying on an autumnal tradition, Penn Brewery will hold its Oktobertfest this weekend and next. The free-entry festival will include food, music and — of course — beer.
Enjoy German food favorites including pretzels, sausage, schnitzel and more, along with a special Oktoberfest beer made by the brewery. Live music, with plenty of Polkamaniacs in particular, will be both inside and outside throughout the weekend. And Sunday will also feature horse-drawn carriage rides from 2 to 6 p.m.
Hours will be 5 to 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Festivities will continue next weekend if you can’t quite fit it in this week’s schedule. Learn the details at pennbrew.com.
