In a video demonstration, Patchy the Potato shows how to cook up some homemade Potato Patch fries.

Instructive? Sure.

Creative? Yep.

Disturbing? Eh, kinda.

Kennywood Park released a video Wednesday demonstrating how to make its famous Potato Patch fries.

Although it wasn’t a human chef manning the kitchen prep, it was perhaps the park’s newest mascot: Patchy the Potato.

In a 2-minute video tweet, Patchy — a French, googly-eyed spud on fork — shows how to recreate the coveted dish.

And just in time, too, what with the park delaying its opening amid the coronavirus outbreak.

So, what all will you need? Potatoes, salt, cheese and an air fryer.

Of course, you must wash the potatoes, then cut them up (leaving the skins on, of course).

Patchy instructs you to salt the potatoes to taste, put them in the air fryer at 380 degrees for about 25 minutes. They suggest shaking them up halfway through to cook evenly.

And the verdict?

With a “mon dieu,” Patchy declares the homemade version substandard. Apparently, and not surprisingly, the message is that only Kennywood can make the magical fries.
