Playa Bowls will officially open in Bakery Square this week.

One of the nation’s largest açai shop franchises, Playa Bowls’ latest Pittsburgh location will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The first 50 guests in line will receive a free bowl and Playa Bowls T-shirt, according to the announcement.

“We’re coming back for more, Pittsburgh,” the release said. “Our second location at Bakery Square feels like the perfect fit, and honestly, it’s a space we’ve had our eyes on from day one.

“We’re excited to officially join one of Pittsburgh’s most vibrant neighborhoods and bring the same fresh, healthy, feel-good bowls our community already knows and loves.”

There are two other locations in Western Pennsylvania, one being in Pittsburgh:

Founded in 2014 at the Jersey Shore, Playa Bowls is a superfruit bowl shop offering bowls, smoothies, juices and more.

The new Playa Bowls will be open daily for dine-in, takeout and online ordering.
