The homecoming Blue & Gold Celebration 2019 at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg includes the third annual Art Show @Pitt-Greensburg, sponsored by the alumni association.

Running through Founders Day on Oct. 10, the show in Millstein Library features 126 works by 49 amateur and professional artists, including students, faculty, staff, alumni and others from the surrounding community.

The show was organized by Julia Sefcheck, Pitt-Greensburg alumni engagement officer, who entered several of her own paintings.

During an Oct. 4 reception, Sefcheck said that artists could enter one of two divisions, general or judged. First through third place winners in four judged categories were announced that night, including:

• Mixed Media: Julie Yankovich, Dylan Pieszak, Hannah Entrekin

• Drawing: Jasmine Lear, Carmen Hill, Shelly Poli

• Photography: Karen Kaighin, Jason Reed, Amber McAlister

• Painting: Barry Shields, Sofia Herr, Mary Ellen Raneri

Judges were Kelli Brisbane, Bonnie West and Kenneth Nicholson.

Visitors to the show also had the opportunity to vote for Fan Favorite works, with those honors going to Jacqueline Drazdzinski, Steph Moraca and Doris Wood.

Reception guests included Pitt-Greensburg President Robert Gregerson and Eva Tansky Blum, chairperson of the University of Pittsburgh board of trustees.
