Billed as one of the state’s largest such events, the Philly Home Show returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on Jan. 10-12 and 17-19.

In addition to vendors offering everything needed to build or remodel a home and make it livable, inside and out, the show offers such special features as:

• Make It, Take It Workshops: Get creative with local designers, artists and crafters and celebrities like carpenter Jeff Devlin, seen on DIY TV shows like “Stone House Revival” and “Ellen’s Design Challenge.”

• Philly Style: Gather design tips to bring hints of the city’s history into your home.

• The Barking Lot: Shop the pet market and take in a doggy fashion show, in support of the Pennsylvania SPCA.
