British travel information service Rough Guides is best known for guides aimed at backpackers and adventurers who want cheap travel and don’t mind roughing it (obviously) in hostels and other budget digs.

Now, recognizing that older travelers — while still up for adventure — tend to prefer cushier accommodations, Rough Guides has launched a new tailor-made adventure trips service. The service combines off-the-beaten track elements with creature comforts, says CEO Rene Frey.

Users decide where and when to go and what to see, and Rough Guides handles the details — from bookings to the services of a local guide.

Available destinations include Iceland, India, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
