A man is dead following a shooting late Monday night in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood.

Pittsburgh police reported to the 2300 block of East Hills Drive a little before 11 p.m. after receiving multiple reports of shots being fired. Police said they received three separate ShotSpotter alerts totaling 32 rounds.

Officers said while headed to the scene, they received a call that a man had been shot and was being driven to a hospital. Police intercepted the vehicle and found a man, who the Allegheny County Medical Examiner later identified as Isaiah Booker, 33, of West Homestead with a gunshot wound in his chest.

First responders transported Booker by ambulance in critical condition. Shortly after arrival, the victim was pronounced deceased.

Police said investigators recovered shell casings and reviewed camera footage from the area.

There were no arrests made as of early Tuesday morning. An investigation is ongoing.
