One person was hospitalized early Monday after Pittsburgh police said a vehicle they were pursuing crashed into a house in Beltzhoover.

Police from Zone 3 said they tried to pull over a car around 3 a.m. but the driver of the car refused to stop. The driver of the car struck a curb at Michigan and Montooth streets and crashed into a house in the 700 block of Montooth, police said.

A female inside the home was injured after being pinned under the car. Police said the woman was extricated and taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Firefighters helped two other residents get out of the home safely. They were not injured, police said.

Police said they had one person in custody, but they did not identify the person. The investigation is ongoing.
