1 hurt in shooting on PRT bus near Homewood Station

A person was shot while inside a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus on Saturday evening.

The shooting took place just before 5 p.m. in a P1 bus near the Homewood Station on the East Busway, as reported by TribLive news partner WTAE.

The victim was transported to the hospital and was in critical condition as of Saturday night.

The victim’s condition was unclear on Sunday.

Police are searching for two juveniles who were last seen exiting the bus and running from the scene before police arrived, WTAE said.

The East Busway was temporarily closed on Saturday. It has since been reopened.
