Emergency responders on Friday interact with a driver trapped in a car after a collision with a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus.

Two people were taken to the hospital Friday morning with minor injuries after a crash involving a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus and a sedan in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.

Authorities say the collision happened at the intersection of 26th Street and Liberty Avenue around 8:55 a.m.

The bus, an 87-Friendship, was stopped at the intersection when the car struck it from behind, according to Pittsburgh Regional Transit.

There were about 15 people on the bus at the time. Multiple people from both vehicles reported injuries, the agency said.

Photos shared by the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety show a silver car jammed between the back right corner of the bus and a fence.

Paramedics rescued the trapped car driver and took the motorist to a hospital. A person on the bus was also injured and brought to a hospital.

Both are in stable condition, authorities said.

Port Authority police are investigating.
