Two men were injured when one fell from a ladder Thursday in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood, according to police.

The incident happened about 11:15 a.m. on Mellon Street, police said.

One man had been three stories up on a ladder while the other was on the ground holding the ladder for support, police said. The man on the ladder fell and landed on the man below.

Both were unconscious when first responders arrived, authorities said, and both were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

No further information was immediately available.
