Two teenagers were killed and a third was hurt late Sunday during a shooting in Braddock, Allegheny County Police said.

An Allegheny County Housing Authority officer near Margaretta and Center streets, about a block off of Sixth Street, reported hearing multiple gunshots around 11 p.m.

The two teenagers with fatal gunshot wounds were found on Center Street, police said. The third male had gunshot wounds to the chest and buttocks. Police said he was taken from a nearby home to a hospital in critical but stable condition.

On Monday afternoon, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the two killed as Nazir Parker, 17, and Rimel Lamour Williamson, 17, both of Braddock. Each of the teens was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:06 p.m.

A cause and manner of death has not been determined for either teenager. County police have not announced any arrests.

Parker and Williamson were starting their senior years at Woodland Hills High School, a spokesperson said Monday. The third shooting victim is not a Woodland Hills student.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (255-8477).

Woodland Hills School District Superintendent Daniel Castagna sent a message to parents Monday morning indicating that district families may have been affected by the shooting.

Supportive services for Woodland Hills staff and students will be available at the school Monday and in the coming days and weeks, Castagna said in his message.

“School must go on, but families who choose to keep their child home to help deal with the loss will have the absence excused,” he said in the statement. “Our collective grief must today be the anchor that holds us together so we can help our children and each other. The mourning and heartache we feel must turn our pain into action to stop these violent acts.”
