Two Pine-Richland School Board members lost their bids for reelection in Tuesday’s primary, while one will advance to the general election in November, according to unofficial Allegheny County election results.

Incumbents failing to advance are Amy Terchick in Region 2 and John Joseph Cassidy in Region 3.

Board member Christina Brussalis advanced in Region 2.

In Region 1, Liz DeLosa was unopposed for each party nomination for one seat.

In Region 2, where two seats are up for election this year, five of the six candidates appeared on each ballot; Brussalis appeared on the Republican ballot only.

The November general election for the two Region 2 seats will be a contest between Democrats Amy Cafardi and Melissa Vecchi on the Democratic ballot and Brussalis and Robert Stein, a registered Democrat, on the Republican ballot.

The Region 3 race will be between Randy Augustine, a registered Republican who won the Democratic nomination, and Republican Christopher David Griffin. Cassidy came in a distant second on each ballot.
