A look at each of the homicides that have occurred in Allegheny County in 2025:

Jan. 4: Dorrel Ferguson

Dorrel Ferguson, 19, of Wilkinsburg was found fatally shot with a single gunshot wound to the upper torso on a Wilkinsburg sidewalk.

Jan. 7: Carmello Mosley

Carmello Mosley, 14, of Pittsburgh died from a gunshot wound of the head and neck three days after being accidentally shot by his brother in East Liberty. His brother, Jordan Mosley, faces several charges.

Jan. 18: Taja Griggs

Taja Emmalee Griggs, 26, was fatally shot in Pittsburgh’s Perry South neighborhood.

Jan. 20: Sean Johnson

Sean Russell Johnson Jr., 30, of Turtle Creek died from a gunshot to the head in a shooting in Duquesne in which a woman was also left in critical condition.

Jan. 23: Catherine Lawing

Cathering Lawing, 39, of Duquesne died three days after being wounded in a shooting that also killed Sean Johnson Jr.

Feb. 2: Le Andre Porch

Le Andre Porch, 22, of Glassport died after being shot in a Glassport apartment building. Robert Wright, 26, has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide.

Feb. 13: Taylor Hall

Taylor Hall, 26, of Sheraden died from a gunshot wound to the torso, with police saying they found her in a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood.

Feb. 17: Daniel Smith

Daniel Anthony Smith, 21, of Duquesne was found fatally shot in a McKeesport cemetery.

Feb. 18: Conrad Rozier

Conrad Rozier, 44, of East Hills died at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after being shot in the chest in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood.

Feb. 20: Dameon Hill and Taquaila Daniels

Dameon Hill, 35, of Garfield and Taquaila Lynn Daniels, 24, of Crawford-Roberts were found fatally shot in a car that crashed in Pittsburgh’s Garfield neighborhood, and police found an unharmed 2-year-old in the backseat.

Feb. 26: Darnell Ross

Darnell Ross Jr., 37, of McKeesport was fatally shot in the head after an argument inside Tube City Cafe in McKeesport. Police charged Floyd Noell, 39, of Glassport with criminal homicide.

March 7: Therreus Lindsey

Therreus Lindsey, 27, of Homewood West died after being shot, along with another man, after an argument among housemates in Pittsburgh’s Homewood North neighborhood. Preslin Turner, 36, of Homewood has been charged with homicide.

March 27: Tyrome Gatewood

Tyrome Gatewood, 17, of Carrick died after a friend shot him while they played with guns in a Knoxville home, police said. Khyree Harper, 17, of Pittsburgh’s South Side has been charged with criminal homicide.

March 29: Kurtis Shaw

Kurtis Shaw, 37, of McKeesport died from a gunshot wound of the head and neck after being found in a McKeesport home.

April 1: Johnny Wilson

Johnny Ray Wilson Jr., 44, of Garfield was fatally shot while being robbed in Homewood North, according to police. Shawn Collins, 54, of Pittsburgh and Lavelle Johnson, 33, of Braddock have been charged with homicide.

May 1: Gene Frederick

Gene Frederick, 46, of Penn Hills died amid a gun battle. William Thomas “Zeno” Hurst, 39, has been charged with criminal homicide.

May 25: Brendan Parsons

Brendan Michael Parson, 23, of McKeesport died after being shot after an argument at a picnic in Clairton.

May 31: Laron Harrison

Laron Harrison, 38, died after being shot multiple times in Pittsburgh’s Northview Heights neighborhood. Cory Lavelle Carter, 41, has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide.

June 3: Michael Ehlinger

Michael Ehlinger, 56, of Stanton Heights died after a gunfight near a gas station in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood.

June 4: Samantha Howells

Samantha Tabitha Howells, 52, of Pittsburgh died at a local hospital after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Crafton Heights neighborhood.

June 13: Keith Pelmon

Keith Pelmon III, 20, of Penn Hills was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest after his car crashed in East McKeesport.

June 14: Tywone McClain

Tywone McClain, 26, of Duquesne died at UPMC Mercy after being shot in the head after an altercation at the Safari Club bar. Marvin Harpool, 51, of Duquesne has been arrested and charged with homicide.

June 18: Deglin St. Clair

Deglin St. Clair, 18, of Larimer died at UPMC Mercy Hospital after being shot in Wilkinsburg.

June 22: Christopher Kovach

Christopher Kovach, 35, died after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood.

June 23: Isiah Brewer

Isiah Brewer, 18, of Pittsburgh died at an area hospital after being shot multiple times in the city’s Crafton Heights neighborhood.

June 24: Patricia Kachinko

Patricia Kachinko, 73, died after an incident on June 2 in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill neighborhood.

June 26: Tyrant Sutton & Isiah McCarthy

Tyrant Sutton of Pitcairn and Isiah McCarthy of Clairton, both 16, died at AHN Forbes Hospital after a shooting in Pitcairn.

July 6: Kevin McKinzie

Kevin McKinzie, 16, of East Hills was found fatally shot in Pittsburgh’s Middle Hill neighborhood.

July 7: Ojanay Pride

Ojanay Pride, 26, of West Oakland died in a local hospital a day after being wounded in a Penn Hills incident in which two women were shot.

July 7: Austin Turner

Austin Lamont Turner, 31, of Sheraden died after being shot in the left shoulder after an altercation near a Penn Hills business, according to police.

July 20: Najour Matthews

Najour Matthews, 10 months, of Pittsburgh died after being hospitalized. Dominick Pinnick, 18, of Homewood has been charged with homicide in the death of the son of the person he was dating.

Aug. 2: Davon Smith-Mahdi

Davon Smith-Mahdi, 26, of Pittsburgh died after an incident at a gas station where another man was also wounded. Gas station clerk Randell Antonio Tate, 22, of Pittsburgh has been charged with homicide.

Aug. 10: Stanley Howe

Stanley Howe Jr., 24, of Pittsburgh died in the city’s East End after being shot twice and struck by a vehicle, according to police.

Aug. 16: Mario Santos

Mario Alejandro Perez Santos died after a fight inside a West Mifflin trailer. Andy-Steven Nimajuan-Sitan, 20, has been charged with criminal homicide.

Aug. 26: Hezon Wilson

Hezon Wilson, 25, of East Hills died after being shot in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood.

Aug. 28: Razele Shelton

Razele Shelton, 22, died at a local hospital after being shot in Rankin.

Sept. 1: Bradley Dawson

Bradley Dawson, 38, of Pleasant Hills died from a gunshot wound to the head in a murder-suicide in which his father, Edgar Dawson, fatally shot himself.

Sept. 9: Stephen Williams

Stephen Williams, 41, of Pittsburgh was found in the Ohio River near Rivers Casino after being reported missing Sept. 5, with the county medical examiner’s office ruling he died from drowning.

Sept. 12: Unidentified man

A yet-to-be identified man was fatally shot in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood.

Sept. 14: Lakyn Shelleby

Lakyn Shelleby, 19, of Castle Shannon died in a fire and house explosion. Her father, Brian Jeffrey Shelleby, 46, has been charged with homicide, arson and causing or risking a catastrophe.

Sept. 16: Ta’Ron Reid

Ta’Ron Reid, 45, of Braddock was fatally shot inside an East Pittsburgh apartment after an argument, according to police. His son, Tayron Reid, 19, has been charged with homicide.
