Three people were injured in a head-on crash involving two cars in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln Place neighborhood Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to the collision on Mifflin Road, just past Mooney Road, around 1:35 p.m.

Police found an injured male and female inside one vehicle. Medics transported them both in critical condition.

The other vehicle’s driver was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said they believe one of the vehicles lost control on the icy road and veered into the opposing lane, hitting the other vehicle.

The Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
