5 candidates all advance for Hampton School Board

All five people running for the Hampton School Board will have a chance to win one of four seats in November, according to unofficial Allegheny County election results.

Board members Denise Balason, Jill Hamlin, Gregory Stein and Larry Vasko were all seeking reelection in the May primary.

Three of the incumbents — Balason, Hamlin and Vasko — were cross-filed and won each party’s nomination, according to unofficial Allegheny County election results. Stein, who was cross-filed, won the Republican nomination only.

Newcomer Jason Hobbes, who also was cross-filed, won on the Democratic primary ballot.

Here are the unofficial election results with all precincts reporting and winners in bold:

Democrat

Jill L. Hamlin: 1,254

Jason Hobbes: 1,170

Denise Balason: 1,058

Larry Vasko: 829

• Gregory A. Stein: 737

Republican

Larry Vasko: 764

Denise Balason:695

Gregory A. Stein: 681

Jill Hamlin: 602
