It’s the first weekend in June. Here are some ways to spend it.

Pittsburgh Pride

Pittsburgh Pride Month kicks off this weekend with several events Friday through Sunday. The Ball on the Bridge features games and music from noon to 4 p.m. Friday on the Andy Warhol Bridge and from 6 to 8 p.m. the Pride on the Shore takes place at Stage AE on the North Shore. The Pittsburgh Pride Revolution Parade & March begins at the City-County Building, Downtown at 11 a.m. on Saturday followed by a festival from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Allegheny Commons Park West on the North Side. The Pittsburgh Pride Revolution Bloomfield Festival is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Trace Brewery in Bloomfield.

Pittsburgh performer Billy Porter, an Emmy, Tony and Grammy award winner, will be the grand marshal for the parade.

Beers of the Burgh

The eighth annual Beers of the Burgh Festival is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Carrie Furnace in Rankin. (There is an early admission ticket price for 3 p.m.) More than 40 brews will be available from ales to ciders. There will also be food trucks and entertainment.

A limited number of tickets are available at $49.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Rivers of Steel Heritage Corporation.

Three Rivers Arts Festival

The 63rd annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival opens Friday. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, which hosts the event, will do so in a new location — throughout the Cultural District. There will be live music, dance, theater, gallery exhibitions, public art, creative activities and the Artist Market. The market features more than 200 independent artists selling handmade items from noon to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

There is a Giant Eagle Creativity Zone, located at the Trust Oasis, for children with hands-on activities from noon to 6 p.m. daily Friday through Sunday.

3 Rivers Comicon

Comics, toys, cosplay and more will fill the David L. Lawrence Convention Center Saturday and Sunday for 3 Rivers Comicon convention.

There will be several panel discussions, including one of creators who worked on “Spider-Man” books and daily cosplay contests. Artist Howard Chaykin’s comic book series “American Flagg” will be featured on a maple imperial stout can. The brew’s release will be from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday at the Comfort Inn North Pittsburgh on the North Side. It was brewed by ShuBrew in Zelienople.

Tickets start at $13 for adults, $5 for children ages 9-13 and children 8 and under are free.

Antonio Brown at Enclave

Former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is hosting a concert on Friday at Enclave on the South Side. He will be performing songs from his new rap album, “Paradigm.”
