Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to visit Pittsburgh for Harris rally
U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will travel to Pittsburgh Sunday on behalf of the Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz presidential campaign.
She will “fire up young voters” as part of the campaign’s Youth Vote Week of Action in partnership with the Democratic National Convention for National Voter Registration Day.
“With less than 50 days until election day, our campaign is focused on registering, engaging and mobilizing youth voters,” the Harris-Walz campaign said in a release.
The rally’s location has not been revealed.
The campaign said it hosted more than 130 events this week on college campuses focused on young voter registration, including basketball games and football games. The blitz used celebrities and influencers to engage potential voters as well, according to the campaign.

There will be a targeted presence at historically Black colleges and universities and Hispanic-serving institutions, as well as a launch of the National Voter Assistance Textline through the DNC’s IWillVote.com platform.
“The stakes this November couldn’t be higher, and Vice President Harris knows our democracy is stronger when we all vote,” said Harris-Walz Campaign Manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez in a release.
