Allegheny County police investigating possible shooting in Stowe

Sto-Rox High School was temporarily closed Monday morning as police investigated a possible shooting in Stowe.

Allegheny County 911 dispatchers were notified of a shots fired call around 7 a.m. at the intersection of Woodward Avenue near Fifth Street, according to a release from Allegheny County police. On scene, first responders found evidence “consistent with multiple weapons utilized,” the release reads.

At this time there are no reported injuries. The high school was reopened at the police chief’s request.

Allegheny County police are investigating.
