The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man shot Friday morning in Munhall as Isaac Love.

Love, 31, of Homestead, was pronounced dead at 9:29 a.m., the medical examiner said.

Allegheny County Police said they responded to the 1800 block of McClure Street just before 8:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a shooting there.

First responders found a man later identified as Love suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. Police said the victim was taken to a Pittsburgh-area hospital in critical condition.

Homicide detectives are investigating, police said.

No arrests have been made.

Allegheny County Police said they are investigating whether the incident is connected to a vehicle chase that stretched from West Mifflin to Whitaker, but have not yet determined whether they are related.

Two suspects were taken into custody and will be charged for crimes related to the vehicle chase, police said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
